i swear i'll never forget 30 November 2005. ok, not only was it my rhoda mummy's bday, but something even more 'fascinating' took place during the whole night cycling from downtown east to marina square.

it rained in the morning n i suspected that at night it will rain too, which will not be favourable to us. it happened so unfortunately that it started drizzling the moment we set off from the chalet. that was only the beginning. the disastrous moments have yet to come. when we stopped by to eat or seek shelter at the bus stop, the rain stopped. the moment we set off again, it began raining like nobody's business. -_-'' we really cannot survive w/o jeremy to lead us. we had to depend on the 9++ bucks map. but it didn't really help much and we took abt 5 hours to reach marina square. the map's already torn n tattered halfway to marina square. actually we wanted to go to the esplanade, but too bad, we reached there around 2 plus in the morning n so the esplanade's closed. we were really very very slow as compared to the last night cycling trip that the rest of 4e6ians went during march. they went to many places whilst we only went to marina square.sheesh. the weather, torn map n LONG journey were really bad enough. what's more, some sustained injuries along the slippery paths. i think i was the first to injure myself.but mine was nothing as compared to the patch on xinyi's knee. i fell off the bike like i think quite a few times; ben lost control of the bike n shini FELL off(but it's not ben's fault; accidents do happen); xinyi n qiukun both fell of their bikes. to make matters worst, suhua's tyre was punctured when we were ready to go back to downtown east. some careless person in the marina square shopping centre vicinity knocked off one bike which hit suhua's bike's tyre, a simple knock which actually caused the whole tyre to sort of 'come out'.sheesh. the result is that all 11 of us had to push our bike and walk to the bus stop which had bus NR 7.lol, one for all, all for one, that's the 4e6 spirit!(: initially, we planned that xinyi n suhua will plead with the bus uncle to let them have the bike onto the bus while the rest of us cycle back to the chalet. the unlucky thing was that night-riders only work on friday and weekends. n no taxi wanted to drive them except for one nice soul. but it cost us a bomb. 20++ bucks. n there's still the fine to pay for the faulty tyre. sheesh. but luckily things went smoothly for the return trip except for qiukun's fall. we reached pasir ris in 2.5 hrs. haha a memorable night cycling indeed! guess this will be the last class gathering(hope not) for 4e6. all happy things come to an end.sob.
